PORTLAND, IN – December 16, 2011: Moser Engineering continues to be an innovative industry leader in rear end aftermarket components. Now they announce the release of a revolutionary new standard for safety and precision in Performance Drag Brake kits. This new brake design is the first clean sheet design the drag racing industry has seen in years. Key to this innovation, Moser developed a dynamically mounted rotor hat combination that will not warp like a typical hard mounted rotor hat combination. The R&D has already been put to the test proven to be safe and effective in over four years of track testing.

The anodized calipers help eliminate corrosion and preventable wear. A dual pin is used for pad retention and o-rings eliminate pad chatter. Stainless steel pistons and Teflon coated one-piece bleeder screws are included in the design, with dual crossover ports for quicker fluid release on the outboard pistons. Another Moser feature is the caliper and rotor design that allow for 25% more pad contact area than other calipers, and allow for a 20% thicker pad than most of the competition. The kit ships with industry leading Hawk pads that lean on their years of expertise in racing brake pad design and compounds.

For the revolutionary rotor/hat design Moser developed a drilled rotor combined with a hat that utilizes a spiral retaining ring to help allow more radial growth during high temp cycles than the competing designs currently in the market. This helps to reduce the sticking and warping that occur in most other designs under heavy braking.

Racers have proven Moser’s safety and performance time after time for nearly three decades. Winners know that Moser components instill confidence like no other, and with this revolutionary design there remains no question that Moser Performance Drag Brake Kits are the easy choice. As always, they remain 100% made in the USA.
