NEW ALEXANDRIA, Pa. (June 1, 2012) – Heavy rains and a less than stellar forecast for Friday evening has forced the cancellation of Friday’s portion of the Pittsburgh Nitro Jam at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.

Racing at the second annual Pittsburgh Nitro Jam will resume on Saturday at 9 a.m. with sportsman racing throughout the day followed by the FanFest Pit Party at 5:30 p.m. and two rounds of Nitro Jam beginning at 7 p.m.

A much brighter forecast is on tap for Saturday as Nitro Jam hits the track with four nitro-powered classes including Pro Fuel Dragsters, AMSOIL Prostalgia Nitro Funny Cars, Nitro Harleys and Fuel Altereds, exhibition action featuring the Grave Digger monster truck and the 30,000 horsepower Shockwave jet semi and multiple sportsman classes including Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod.

Check back with NitroJam.com throughout the weekend for any changes or updates to the schedule.
