TJ Pruitt makes Perfect Pass during Run for the Money while driving Pee Wee Espy's dragster for the first time.
Montgomery Motorsports Park held the June Super 7 Series last weekend, and it was a great Father’s Day for Mike Smith of Roanoke, AL, as he defeated his son Timmy Smith in the final round of the main event on Sunday. Five thousandths of a second was the difference at the stripe as Smith marched on to add another Super 7 Series victory to his career resume.
Saturday’s winners included Johnny Labbous Jr. and A.J. Ashe, the latter being more than glad to return to the winner’s circle after a rough season start.
On Saturday DragCoverage.com Publisher TJ Pruitt made a stellar pass during Run for the Money. Pruitt steered Pee Wee Espy’s Worthy Dragster to a perfect run during his first ever full pass in the car.
“I just could not believe it when I got the slip,” said Pruitt, “We had no idea what the car would run, and I took a stab at the delay box. It was my first perfect run and who would have guessed this could have happened. I want to thank ESPY for providing the ride, and I look forward to the rest of the season.”
