Mickey Thompson True 10.5 racer Terry Barkley Uninjured After Crash

Mickey Thompson True 10.5 racer Terry Barkley had a very scary moment during the first round of qualifying today, when he lost control of his Nova, crossed the center line, and striking the wall in the opposite lane head-on.

As you can see, there was a very large flash fire. Thankfully Barkley was ok, but the fire, combined with the unburned fuel and oil, made a mess of the track. The result has forced us to run the rest of today’s event eighth-mile. Officials will look at the track and see what (if anything) can be done before tomorrow.
