Traxxas Nitro Funny Car Shootout slated for Texas; by Erica Ortiz

The now twiced-delayed NHRA Traxxas Nitro Funny Car Shootout, originally scheduled for Saturday’s rain-delayed completion of the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Auto-Plus, will now be contested at the upcoming  AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals on September 22nd.

NHRA officials were forced to move the event after weather again soaked the Indianapolis area, delaying the US Nationals schedule further and leaving no time for the shootout format.

The $100,000 jackpot will now be up for grabs at the Texas Motorplex,  right in the backyard of shootout sponsor Traxxas’ corporate headquarters located just north of the track in Plano, TX.
