About
this Awesome Ride....
"Boy oh Boy" do we have a treat for you. We have received
several emails here at DragCoverage.com wondering what will be
the next Car of the Month. Well, it's worth the wait, because
this Reese built 1969 Camaro is Totally AWESOME! The last three
"car of the month" awards were awarded to Alabama Outlaw's
1969 Camaro Convertible, Terry and Sandy Crows' 64 Plymouth Savoy,
and Jason Enfinger’s 2005 Undercover dragster. Now we have
something new and "original" looking for you viewers.
While cruising the pits at the Outlaw Racing Street Car Association
World Finals, Huntsville, AL, I spotted this beautiful 1969 RS
(Rally Sport) Camaro, owned by Darrin Hoyle.
Darrin went on to the finals to face Keith Szabo that day, but
mother nature came out on top. A few weeks later, he won the Limited
Street Shootout at Rockingham Dragway with this quick ride.

This
beautiful 1969 RS camaro is powered by a 632 Gene Fulton Engine.
It was built by David Reese, Taylorsville, North Carolina.
How fast do you think this "Street Car" is capable of
running?
If you guessed "5's" 1/8th mile, then you are wrong!
Best E.T. - 4.83 (1/8 Mile)
Best MPH: 151 mph
60ft: 1.18

Although David Reese
Race Cars built a major part of this car, Teddy Houser Race Cars
completed the car for Darrin Hoyle. Currently, Darrin competes
in the Outlaw Racing Street Car Association Limited Street Class
and several limited street races across the country. At the ORSCA
world finals, Darrin broke the limited street record, running
a 4.83 @ 151mph. Greg Oneil and Emily (The Boss)
were there to help Doyle make this record setting pass. Congratulations
