Default What is best to keep rubber seals from cracking on your door jams?

What is best to use on the rubber seals around your doors to keep them from cracking/dry rotting? I was asked that question by someone on a Corvette forum and I told him I use Armour All(I do it mostly for looks to and keep them clean) but he sad he used Armour All and still got the cracking dry rot.

So what do all of you use? The use of oil or spray silicon would be messy .
