Ken Grant's Heavy Chevy 1500

DragCoverage.com Internet Magazine
Posted Feb.16

For this month’s DragCoverage.com “Featured Ride,” we decided to pay homage to one cool garage-built Cheverolet Silverado.  Ken Grant, Americus, GA, has definitely built one unique sleeper, weighing in at nearly 3,900 lbs.  Other than radial tires and a registered tag, this truck is fully equipped with all necessities for daily highway driving; original dash, power windows, working headlights and taillights, signals, and brake lights. This bad to the bone hot rod even has the factory steering.
Crossing the traps with a best elapsed time of, 7.18, 96 mph, this quick “grocery getter” stood out amongst nearly 200 cars that attended the 8th Annual Hangover Nationals, Montgomery Motorsports Park.

Grant plans to compete at his home track, South Georgia Motorsports Park, and various Footbrake and Super Pro events across the south east.
