During the 2009 NHRA Drag Racing Full Throttle Racing Series event at zMAX Dragway, Faye Curtis of Pilot Mountain, NC, entered to win a 2010 Ford Mustang GT at the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing Experience display as part of Ford Customer Service Division’s national sweepstakes program.

A few short months later, Curtis received a call from Ford Customer Service Division informing her that she was the grand prize winner of a 2010 Ford Mustang GT equipped with Ford Racing Performance Parts and Ford Custom Accessories.

“After I won, the great people at Ford asked me to go to my local Ford dealer and select a Mustang,” said Curtis.  “My Mustang is going to be black, because every car I’ve owned since I was 17 has been red.  I wanted it special, so I picked all the special parts to go on the car.  Everything that was available in the Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog, I had installed on the car – the spoiler, the short shifter and even performance package that added horsepower.  I can’t wait to get in my new Mustang.  Thank you, Ford!”

Curtis lives in Pilot Mountain, NC approximately 100 miles from the Concord track and last year’s race in Charlotte was her first NHRA experience.

“I received race tickets from some friends to go to the Charlotte NHRA race,” said Curtis.  “It was my first NHRA event in person. Going to zMAX last year was a great first-time race experience and to win this Mustang, it makes going to that race so much more special.”

Curtis is a life-long Ford driver and NHRA fan.  As part of her prize package, Curtis is a guest of Ford Customer Service Division at the Inaugural NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at Concord this weekend.
